Many species of migratory birds visit Edithvale,
most coming from northern Asia .  Edithvale and,
Seaford Wetlands' importance was recognised in,
1996.
If you are very lucky, you might even spot a Latham's (Japanese ) snipe which is an endangered species,
that is often sighted at the East Treatment Plant.
